WHERE I COME FROM
I'm Herika, I was born among the sounds, smells and frost of Turin. I started from a young age to explore materials, design clothes and do handicrafts. Over time, the passion for the world of art, geometries and aestheticism grows in me.
Today I live in Florence, where in 2011 I decided to change course, one fine day I rebel against technology and I discover that I can create so much beauty with my hands. I give up my role as a web designer and open my first artisan jewelry workshop, where I develop my ideas by forging the material.
WHAT I DO
My first small laboratory has moved a few meters and is now a little larger and more welcoming, it has grown and an exhibition part has been added, also transforming into a shop.
It is a hybrid space, a forge of ideas and wonder, in which I think, design, build and refine the material until I get to a finished piece: a jewel to wear and to love.
I forge metal, I have a passion for the less noble ones, enhancing their characteristics. I work with brass, bronze and silver, combining them with hard stones, resins and unpredictable textures. I get inspired by everything, especially by nature and my travels, which are a great resource for me.
WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO ARRIVE
I am in constant search of "imperfect perfection".
I evolve, I update myself and I never stop studying and experimenting. I deepen, exploring goldsmith techniques and new processing methods to develop my creations and create increasingly unique and quality jewels.
I aspire to elevate myself and take my work and creations to an ever higher level because I feel that the best version of me is yet to come.
